Charge selecta not working

Here's a message you can send to ABRP support: Hi, I'm a Premium subscriber and I'm having an issue specifically when using ABRP through Android Auto: I can't select a charger on the map by tapping on it. The charger icons don't respond to taps at all. I've confirmed this only happens through Android Auto — when I use the app directly on my phone (without AA), tapping on chargers works normally and selects them fine. I've already tried: Fully closing and restarting the app before reconnecting Android Auto Zooming in to make sure I'm not tapping on a clustered icon Making sure the app is fully updated None of these fixed it. Could you look into this or let me know if there's a known workaround? Phone: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Thanks!

Endless loop during replanning

I recently signed up and used ABRP to plan my trip from Longmont CO to Durango CO. The website version and app version worked reasonably well for the planning part (though some parts of the learning curve were not all that intuitive). Where I ran into trouble was when using the app from my phone after stopping and disconnecting from Android Auto (for example to go get lunch). I consistently found that when I went to replan the remainder of the route, the planning sequence (IOW, the sequence of phrases to help you know what the app is doing) would just cycle endlessly. The only remedy that seemed to work was to kill the app on my phone, let it restart, and then try the replan. This happened at least 4-5 times during the course of my trip down and back. For reference I am using Android Auto (fully updated) connected to my Ford F150 Lightning.

Android Auto: map rendering corruption and delayed/frozen GPS position in ABRP 7.1.7 (5980)

Hello ABRP Support, I am experiencing two serious and recurring problems with ABRP when using Android Auto in my Volkswagen ID.4. I am currently using ABRP version 7.1.7 (build 5980). The problems are: Map rendering corruption During navigation, the standard ABRP map sometimes becomes badly corrupted. Large rectangular areas of the map are rendered incorrectly, almost like corrupted textures or image blocks. The important point is that the rest of the ABRP interface remains correctly rendered. The route line, vehicle position marker, turn instructions, speed limit, arrival information and vehicle/SOC information remain visible and sharp. After some time, the map may recover by itself and display normally again. I am using the standard ABRP map, not satellite view. I have attached photos showing the corrupted map and a normal map from the same trip. Very slow or delayed GPS position Especially after starting Android Auto, ABRP can take a long time before it determines the correct vehicle position. The same problem can also occur later during a trip. ABRP may remain behind the actual vehicle position for a significant amount of time. This is particularly problematic in cities or other areas where several turns occur close together, because the displayed position and turn guidance can become too late to be useful. Test conditions I have tested this with several different Android phones. I have also tested both: wired Android Auto via USB wireless Android Auto The same problems occur in both cases. Google Maps does not show the same GPS or navigation problems on the same phones and in the same car. This makes it unlikely that the problem is caused by the phone GPS hardware, USB cable or the vehicle's infotainment system. The car is a Volkswagen ID.4. ABRP also appears to continue receiving vehicle data correctly while the map problem occurs. For example, SOC information is still displayed. ABRP version 7.1.7 Build 5980 Summary There appear to be two possibly related Android Auto problems: corruption of the standard map rendering delayed or temporarily frozen vehicle/GPS position Both problems have occurred with several different Android phones and with both wired and wireless Android Auto. I would be happy to provide additional logs, screenshots, phone models, Android versions or perform specific tests if that would help you diagnose the problem. I previously tried to contact ABRP regarding this issue but did not receive a response, so I hope this more detailed report helps identify the problem.

Bug Report: GPS Signal Loss and Incorrect Recalibration in Tunnel

Title: GPS Signal Loss in Tunnel Causes Route to Jump to Incorrect Location (France) Description: While navigating a route from Klagenfurt to Graz Airport (GRZ) on 13-09-2026, the app lost GPS signal in a tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, the route incorrectly recalibrated our position to France (as seen in the screenshot), despite the last known location being in Austria. This resulted in: A 2,256 km detour (2 trips, 2 Std. 52 Min. total). Speed and energy consumption data were also affected (e.g., 786 km/h average speed, 0.0 kWh energy used). Steps to Reproduce: Start a route from Klagenfurt to Graz Airport (GRZ). Enter a tunnel (e.g., likely the Plabutschtunnel or similar on the A2 Autobahn). Observe GPS signal loss and subsequent recalibration to an incorrect location (France in this case). Expected Behavior: The app should retain the last known GPS location and resume tracking accurately after signal recovery. If signal loss is prolonged, offline-tiled maps or dead reckoning (using speed/accelerometer data) should prevent jumps to out-of-bounds locations. No recalibration to a location outside the route’s geographical bounds (e.g., France for a route entirely within Austria). Suggested Fixes: Offline-Tiled Maps: Implement offline map tiles to maintain positional accuracy during GPS blackouts. Geofenced Recalibration: Limit GPS recalibration to a reasonable radius (e.g., 50 km) from the last known location to avoid absurd jumps. Dead Reckoning: Use vehicle speed/accelerometer data to estimate position when GPS is lost. User Alerts: Notify users when GPS signal is lost/recovered and show a warning if the recalibrated position is unrealistic.

Inaccurate road and speed status

I am returning home from À trip through Atlantic Canada and was constantly presented with road status and speed limits that were inconsistent with roadside signage. Often there were discrepancies of up to 20km per hour. Apple & Google Maps as well as my onboard VW route planner were all accurately reflecting the reality on the road. Not so with ABRP. In one egregious example I was directed onto a bridge in Campbellton, NB that was closed. This bridge has been closed for some time and this glitch presents a liability risk and potential danger to clients. Clearly, your routing database is not current or accurate and needs to change ASAP. I found this issue in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
