'Missing SoC error': Edit PIDs for KGM Torres EVX

In this article, we'll discuss what to do if your vehicle isn't reporting a valid SoC value and gives a 'missing SoC error', possibly due to running a different software version than expected. These instructions are specific to the KGM Torres EVX; other vehicles might use a different command.

  1. Be near the vehicle and OBD dongle

  2. Open the ABRP iOS or Android app

  3. Go into Settings

  4. Have the correct vehicle selected, tap Edit Settings

  5. Scroll down in the vehicle settings menu, tap OBD Pid Editor

  6. Here, in the OBD Pid Editor scroll down to Equation and tap it

  7. Erase the default value and enter A instead

  8. Tap the update button and go back to the OBD Pid Editor

  9. Tap Test Pids to reconnect to the dongle and test the new Pids

  10. All set!
