Add alternative login methods

In this article we'll explain how to go about adding alternative login methods such as social accounts or a regular password.

Apple ID

  1. On your iOS device, open the ABRP app

  2. Make sure you’re logged into the ABRP account you wish to connect

  3. Open Settings

  4. Tap the profile name, top left button in the menu

  5. Tap Login methods

  6. Find ‘Apple’ and tap the Add button

  7. A ‘Sign in with Apple’ prompt will appear, verify the credentials and tap Continue

Please note that adding your Apple ID will not change the account's registered email address for communication. Nor will it in any way connect App Store subscriptions. Login with Apple ID and App Store subscriptions are handled in separate ways.

Google

  1. Open the ABRP app or website

  2. Make sure you’re logged into the ABRP account you wish to connect

  3. Open Settings

  4. Tap/click the profile name, top left button in the menu

  5. Tap/click Login methods

  6. Find ‘Google’ and tap the Add button

  7. A ‘Sign in with Google’ prompt will appear, verify the credentials, and tap Continue

Please note that adding your Google account will not change the account's registered email address for communication. Nor will it in any way connect Google Play store subscriptions. Login with Google and Google Play subscriptions are handled in separate ways.

Facebook

  1. Open the ABRP app or website

  2. Make sure you’re logged into the ABRP account you wish to connect

  3. Open Settings

  4. Tap/click the profile name, top left button in the menu

  5. Tap/click Login methods

  6. Find ‘Facebook’ and tap the Add button

  7. A ‘Sign in with Facebook’ prompt will appear, verify the credentials, and tap Continue

Please note that adding your Facebook account will not change the account's registered email address for communication.

Rivian

  1. Open the ABRP app or website

  2. Make sure you’re logged into the ABRP account you wish to connect

  3. Open Settings

  4. Tap/click the profile name, top left button in the menu

  5. Tap/click Login methods

  6. Find ‘Rivian owner account’ and tap the Add button

  7. Enter your Rivian credentials and tap Login

Regular password

If you’ve created your ABRP account using a social or vehicle account, you can still set a regular password to log in using the registered email address + password.

  1. Open ABRP, either the Android app, iOS app, or web

  2. Be logged out

  3. Tap/click Login

  4. Enter the registered email address of the account and tap/click continue with email

  5. When prompted to enter a password, instead tap/click the button Forgot your password?

  6. Verify that you’ve entered the email address correctly and tap/click Reset password

  7. An email with a password reset link will be sent to your accounts registered email address. Use the link to set a new password for your account

Please note, this will set a regular password for your acount. This will NOT change the password for any connected alternative login method.
