Overnight Stops Creation in ABRP
Creation and clarity of overnight stops in ABRP could be greatly enhanced, thereby improving the user trip planning experience.
At present I create Onite Stops by manually inserting a next day date & AM departure time. Is there any other way?
Such a stop is not easily detected when overviewing a trip.
My suggestion is the addition of an ‘Add Overnight Stop’ switch in a stop creation.
This could add a default 10 hour stay, and set a next day departure time. Alternatively, a default personal overnight stop could be created in Settings, which could be inserted and then fine tuned to suit the specific situational need.
Visibility might be enhanced by adding a small bed graphic (with ZZZs!) so the ON stop is highly visible.

Overnight Stops
Most of my longer journeys involve one or more overnight stops. Often at accommodation which provides a Destination Charger. I would like to see more support for this type of journey - by being able to select the stop as an overnight stay, to add in an overnight charge at a destination charger, and to set a departure time. At the moment my workaround is to have separate trips for each day.

Great Idea -Obviously, many users are requesting/suggestion improvements using the app for pre-planning a multi day trip and need to locate/book motels.

Coding for an overnight stay

It is now September. I am planning for a November trip. I edit my start position specifying the date and departure time. When I decide where to stay overnight, I edit that location to specify the next day the date of departure. when I click on the date, a popup calendar defaults to September even though the arrival date correctly shows November. Every time I edit a stop, I have to click through two months. It should default to the month of arrival. It should be a simple fix.

Build-in overnight stops on a long trip

Is there a way to build-in overnight (hotel) stops into a long road trip? I'll be traveling to Tennessee from Texas soon and I'm trying to program a hotel stop. However, when I put that in, ABRP thinks it's just a charge stop and computes the Mike's and times to charge in the middle of the night.
Maybe a stop can be added when creating my trip. Thanks.

A workaround is to schedule a hotel, then find the next fast charger after the hotel on the multi-day route, then set that charger in ABRP as the day’s pretend designation. That way I can stop at the hotel for the night knowing the car has enough charge to reach the next fast charger in the morning.

Would like to add generic overnight stay waypoint.
For the drive, would like to add a generic overnight waypoint with a departure time the next day. This allows for me to block out a drive based on how many hours I might want to drive (say 7, 8, 9, etc) and the find a hotel later.

I agree with this. My only works around has been the time consuming process of exporting the data to my own customer excel spreadsheet which allows for stayovers and some other unrelated tools. It's pretty clunky, but effective and worth doing for long cross country trips.
