IOS Carplay - lagging map

I use ABRP on my iphone connected to my MG Carplay. With the latest updates I am finding that the map freezes and catches up after a few minutes. This makes it unuseable.

Where does this happen?
ABRP version number (found at bottom of settings menu)

      Hi. My post is awaiting approval for 3 days, and it has the video. The video shows the freeze but occasionally it jumps from freezing to update. https://abrp.featurebase.app/p/map-freezes-or-updates-very-late

    Do you have location allowed in your iOS settings? Please go to iOS Settings → ABRP → Location → Always Allow and see if that resolves it.
