Hi
To help us figure out what happen we need you to send a bug report. First you need to enable the bug button in the settings. Go to the settings and scroll all the way down.
The bug button will show on your screen. When the OBD is connected to your car and the car is in drive mode click at the button. Then let me know when you have done this.

It's been done. I paired the device with the phone (device plugged into the car and in “drive mode) and then generated the bug report from ABRP app on the phone. There was no indication on the odb device (other than the power and flashing connection light) that it was communicating with the car at all. The device itself works with other apps.

Unfortunately, we do not receive any data from your OBD, but we do receive data via Enode. Do you think that Enode works with your car?

Hi, I am currently on holiday (why I wanted to use an obd) as I can only get data in spot locations - there are hundreds of km without a data connection so enode does partially work but is very limited and ultimately not adequate. ABRP is also not very accurate with my vehicle - an EV5 GT-Line is similar to, but has different range/consumption to the large battery dual motor Earth model (probably due to wheel/tire size and greater vehicle weight) that is the nearest model in your app.

I do have the exact same problem, the OBD2 PIDs are incorrect for the EV5.
Unfortunately my car doesn’t have Kia Connect so I can’t use Enode.

When I go to the OBD PID editor and Test Pids, I could find that the first initialization command (ATZ), returns an error. If I remove it, the initialization concludes, but the data fecthing returns nothing…

PinnedHello @Alex Headley,
Have you been able to connect successfully or does the issue still occur?

Kia EV5 Wave
ABRP can not successfully connect to my Kia EV5. I bought this from china and apparently it is not the same as the ones currently running in australia.

We will remove OBD as an option for Kia EV5 since it’s not working. To add it again we need new Pids to add to this car.
We need the OBD PID commands and how to interpret the returned data. Since this is not easily available for most vehicles there is not possibility for us to provide a time estimate.
You can check our telemetry API for relevant properties:
documenter.getpostman.com/view/7396339/SWTK5a8w
Also, you can check our (partially outdated) OBD repository to see what other cars report:
https://www.github.com/iternio/ev-obd-pids
If you find that an existing vehicle profile reads data correctly, please let us know, but please DO NOT keep using the incorrect vehicle model with live data.
