Critical wrong arrival soc
Hi. Again.
To say on my way home. I used your app to test the soc problem again. Your app said, before I left work that I would arrive with 15% which I knew was not possible. When I started my 150 km drive home. It did not change. When I passed 15% it lowered the soc one % At the time. I arrived with 8%. And the soc I have set as the soc I wanted to arrive with was 11%, you system calculated it to be 15% and I had 8% when I got home Again… I know This route well. Your app use to be able to calculate pretty good. Now it’s off by 7% and that is not acceptable.
- Where does this happen?

The arrival SoC should be inviolate and should not require “tricks” to get it to come out right. I often plan trips into areas where there are no chargers and set my arrival SoC to the value that I need to get out comfortably. I trust (or used to trust) ABRP to hit that number or replan the trip is it wasn’t going to be possible.
It’s really not okay to expect users to second guess the UI or to apply specialized knowledge of how ABRP works.

Wrong arrival soc
Hi.
If I set my soc to be 10% when I get to my destination. And then set ABRP to calculate the route. It showes that I will arrive with 6%.
That is clearly a BIG bug that if I can’t count on ABRP to make the calculations according to the details I set up.
I have screenshots to show it

Hi
If we don’t think it’s necessary we don’t add a charge stop so you will arrive with 10% or more. If you want to have at least 10% left I recommend that you change to 15% in the battery settings.

Hi.
I dont think you understood what i meant. I have set the soc, so that i want to arrive with 11% to be precise. And when I push calculate route. It showed i will arrive with 6% which is not at least 10, but under, in fact that much under, that if i had driven home using your suggest, i would have run out of power.

I understood. If you want to arrive with a higher percent you need to change it to 15% or higher. Then we will probably add a charging stop to your plan so you will end up with a higher arrival SoC.

I dont get it. I set the app to make a route so that i will arrive with 10% not less than 10.. that must be a bug… i know i can set it higher. But that is not the point. The point is. With this route I know the route.. but if i had not known, its not okay that your app is off by that much. Are you. Response for real…. That you cant see that there is a problem, and you only solution is to set the arrival soc higher???

Hi
Can you send me the link to that plan and I will ask the developers to look at it to see what’s wrong. Click at Share plan and Share ABRP link.

This is really puzzling. I don’t get what you’re trying to say here. It seems that if there is a setting for the arrival SoC ABRP should calculate a route & charging plan that gets you to your destination with at least that much charge. If ABRP allows itself a “fudge factor” that should be clearly documented in the UI for setting the arrival SoC. This is not something that should be ABRP lore that you discover by accident or by reading the forums.
