Battery degradation and extra weight does not affect

These two settings does not affect the plans, no matter if i put 0 or 50% degradation or 200 or 500kg extra weight my arrival percentages are identical. Is that normal?

Where does this happen?

    Hi,

    Please provide a link to the plan where this occurs. To do this;

    1. Plan the trip in ABRP

    2. Click/tap: ‘Share plan’

    3. Click/tap: ‘Share ABRP link’

    4. Paste the URL here

IMPORTANT: Please exclude private addresses and the use of ‘my position’, home, work, etc. from the plan you post here publicly.

The impact of added weight is actually pretty minimal.

I have figured it out, because i have linked it with OBD its not taking in an account for the degradation and the weight. But it could be better to have an indication for it, for an example to be grayed out or something.

        What makes you think so?

What makes me think so for which part of my reply?

What makes you think the planner is not taking weight and degradation into account when the app is connected via OBD?

its not taking into account the settings for weight and degradation because it shows the same result no matter the values:

              1. 5% degr and 250kg

                https://abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=109fff92-fc34-476a-b51c-95683998db2b

              1. 80% degr and 500kg

                https://abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=f9901c8c-6917-4129-b033-83b7495a89ca

Which is normal to not take them as the app is reading from OBD the actual consumptions and max battery content. So it doesnt need to adjust for weight and degradation.

I’m not able to resolve the above linked plans as they’re starting from ‘my position’.

I can see that the degradation is set to 0 for both plans - which would generate very similar, if not the exact same results. As mentioned, added consumption due to weight is minimal.

It is not the weight itself of, for instance, a roofbox that adds consumption - it is more so the poor aerodynamics.

in the shared plan for some reason always says 0% battery degr

This is effecting me as well - and with a Nissan Leaf it’s critical to have the degradation accounted for. e.g.

I experience the same behavior, battery degradation auto detection it way off. Even when correcting it manually doesn’t impact the planning.

The only way so far to compensate is to correct the consumption by relatively same percentage as the degradation but planning is still not good enough.

Do you have A/B testing or public beta program with customers that I can apply to?
