Support PHEV / hybrid vehicles

🚧 THIS IS A TICKET MIGRATED FROM UPVOTY. The original ticket and comments will be available for a limited time over at:

Some PHEV veicules has a significant EV autonomy range, would be great to plan the trip using your app

    Mb plug in hybrids

Why not offer support for plug-in hybrids, they do function as electric vehicles

      Hello @Jeff Edelson,

Our app is designed for long trip-planning with charging stations and plug-in hybrids typically use petrol/natural gas for the longer trips and this makes it unreasonable to be added to our selection of vehicles. Additionally, we have many models that are being requested that are fully electric and these are priority.

    Support long range PHEV

Please support PHEV vehicles with a long range (over 100 km), as many users operate these purely electrically and would appreciate charging planning using ABRP.

Embracing Hybrid & Petrol & Diesel vehicles into the App

Is it possible to use ABRP for Hybrid and petrol/diesel only vehicles? Showing refuelling points for them.

This would help the uptake of ABRP and therefore additional revenue to fund further developments.

Could these cars OBD ports be utilised to give live feedback to ABRP to suggest refuelling points?

      Hi,

A Better Routeplanner is developed for all-electric vehicles, and therefore, we currently do not model hybrid vehicles. As mentioned in the request instructions, we, therefore, have to reject your request.
