Why is this route preferred

I'm planning a route and that is in every aspect longer than my alternative.

If I add a waypoint, it gets better.

How does that come?

Where does this happen?

    Hi

When I open the routes it’s only 6 minutes in difference in driving time. On the first route you can see the orange that means it’s traffic. You don’t have that on the second route.

      Hi Linda,

      Thanks for the reply.

The orange route means reduced speed to make it to the next stop.

But that route is preferred by ABRP. Even though the other one is faster and shorter.
