Way to avoid Ferry

Currently will only route me across a ferry that is closed for the season, i can't find a way to tell it to avoid the ferry. I need to manually add a stop in a detoured direction, but i'm not sure how to find the optimal charger without specifying a specific stop (to avoid the ferry)
