Vgate obd not connecting since v5?

I have a problem with my vgate obd which used to work perfect before. It looks like abrp is not looking for my dongle when starting. The icon on the bottom right is for the live connection and not Bluetooth.

I can solve the problem (each time) by acting as follows:
Start abrp on my phone
Navigate to the live data page
Notice it waits for a live data connection.
Wait a few seconds
Notice it now looks for a bluetooth connection
Start the car with the dongle.

If I don't go to the live data page before starting I can't get the obd connection working.
