The app has greatly improved but version 7.1.7 seems to only use current location when sharing the plan with Google Maps, making this feature effectively unusable for planning. The issue is not present when sharing plan with Apple Maps.

For example, if I plan a London-Edinburgh road trip but live in Norwich, ABRP tells Google Maps that departure of the trip is from Norwich instead of London when the plan is shared with Google Maps.

There is another bug: details of charging locations are not displayed anymore once a charging location has been bookmarked. Clicking on the location only displays “dropped pin”

Please fix.

Also, just like you can send the journey defined with ABRP to Google Maps or Apple Plans, a great addition would be to be able send a trip planned in Google Maps or Apple Plans to ABRP to tweak it in terms of chargers etc.

Another suggestion: could you please keep a list of the chargers excluded in the “Charging settings”, so that they can be included again more easily if need be?

    Thank you for noticing these errors with Google Maps and display of charger! We will discuss these in our meeting and decide on what is best solution for these issues.

      On Google maps, it seems like it immediately start navigating to the next waypoint, and since navigation always happens from GPS it will cause your issue. Has it previously stayed in the “route overview” screen (so not navigating)?

        Hi. If I plan a London-Edinburgh trip while being physically geolocated in let’s say Norwich, if I click Share to Map, choose Google Maps, then the trip is exported to google maps which goes instantly to navigation, with the trip starting from my physical location instead of London. You have to manually edit stops by removing the first “stop” “your location” for google maps to display the correct trip planned in ABRP (miles, time, and stops).

    Thanks for the detailed report! On the bookmarked charger issue, we have replicated this issue and are working on a fix for it, will be part of the next ABRP release.
