User interface needs a drastic overhaul

The user interface on both web and mobile is cumbersome to use. This is due to multiple design flaws. Visual design should not use lines to separate elements, but use a distinct background color to cluster related elements. Font sizes should be limited to two or three maximum. The interface should also separate imported/most-used functions from other functions. Icons should be used if their function is evident for most users. Icons should always have a color related to their function. The user interface should have an inductive option, so that users with little experience are guided through the process.
