The request
I would like to use ABRP on AAOS as a planning tool while driving, instead of navigation, so that it does not interfer with Google Maps. This way I can use the planning power of ABRP while keeping the feature of battery conditioning of Google Maps.
Background/additional information
I am driving a Polestar 2. This car has Android Automotive (AAOS) and uses Google Maps for navigation by default. One essential feature of using Google Maps, is that it ensures optimal charging conditions once the next destination is set to be a charger. This feature forces me to use Google Maps for longer trips. It is not possible to have both apps in navigation mode, otherwise there wouldnβt be much of a problem.
So I want/need to use Google Maps for navigation and preheating of the battery and simultaneously use ABRP to see live data of where I am according to the plan.
My workaround
Google Maps on AAOS for navigation, set to destination(s) as planned by ABRP
IPhone running ABRP navigation
At home, a computer is running Home Assistant with the Polestar and ABRP integrations. An automation is sending updates to ABRP with data from the Polestar integration.
