Black block taking up up nearly 1/4 of the screen in CarPlay

First time using the app in a while (CarPlay, full screen). Picked a favorite (Home) and was immediately met with a black block that took up nearly 1/4 of the screen, detailing

my first turn and it persisted for the 30 miles it took to get to it! Is this configurable? Subsequent turns used a much smaller dialogue box. I do like finally being able to use ABRP in the CarPlay Dashboard .
