Unusable on AAOS

The A Better Route Planner (ABRP) app is currently unusable on Android Automotive OS (not Android Auto), as found in GM electric vehicles like the 2025 GMC Sierra EV. Key issues include:

•  Navigation Input Failure: Unable to enter destinations while driving, either via voice or manual typing. When parked, entering an address is possible, but the routing crashes once driving begins, displaying only the map without directions.

•  Map Centering Issue: No recentering button is available, causing the map to lose focus on the vehicle’s location during driving (as shown in the referenced video).

•  Performance Problems: The app is extremely slow, taking over a minute to generate a route despite a full 5G signal. Routes often crash within minutes of starting navigation.

•  Troubleshooting Attempted: Deleting and reinstalling the app on the vehicle did not resolve the issues.

•  User Feedback: I’d be willing to pay for the app if it functioned properly on my GM vehicle and am happy to assist developers with troubleshooting and testing.

For comparison, reverting to stock Google Maps is necessary due to these issues, as it allows reliable navigation. Please address these concerns to improve compatibility with Android Automotive OS.
