Units are set to Imperial but reference displays Km

From iPad OS in Settings the reference consumption distance appears to show Km when the user interface units have been set to Imperial. Also, it would be helpful if the integer displayed was followed by the type of unit, as does the speed. I only presume it to be Km because it is too high to be Imperial.
