'Unable to read SOC via OBD for BYD Dolphin Mini

Hello,

I am trying to connect ABRP to my car using a BLE4.0

Dual OBD2 adapter on iOS, but l am unable to read the State of Charge (SOC) from the vehicle.

Here are the details of my issue:

  • App Version: 6.1.4 (3567)

  • Adapter Model: BLE4.0 Dual (compatible with iOS and Android)

  • Phone: iPhone (iOS 17)

  • Symptoms:

  • Connection to BLE established successfully

  • The app fails connecting to the vehicle (red X)

  • Error: "Failed to process OBD data commands.
Could not find the SoC in the car's data response."

  • In PID test, "failed to parse response" after writing command ATL

  • Other OBD2 apps are unable to read SoC as well

have tried:

  • Resetting app settings and OBD adapter

  • Checking OBD2 port and reconnecting

  • Confirming permissions for Bluetooth and Location are enabled

  • Searching for car compatibility and known issues (no solution found)

Is my vehicle not supported for live SOC readings via

OBD2? Any suggested workaround or PID configuration?

Thank you for your help!

" i am a paying user of the app and I feel disadvantaged by the connection failure between

ABRP and my BYD Dolphin Mini via OBD. I would like to know if there is any forecast for an update to fix this failure or for the reestablishment of the connection. I would also like to know if there is anything I can do to try to resolve this issue while waiting for the update."

Unfortunately, this is not at all about money. If the OBD commands we have on hand at the moment do not match for vehicles in a specific region - there’s little we can do until the correct OBD commands have been provided/found.

"In the Car Scanner app, all parameters are read correctly with this BLE adapter. It is only this app where it does not work."
