Turn-by-turn directions not shown on Head-Up Display (HUD) when ABRP runs via CarPlay - BYD Atto 3 Evo

Vehicle: BYD Atto 3 Evo AWD Excellence (2026), equipped with Head-Up Display (HUD) Phone: iPhone 17 Pro Max, iOS 26.6.1 ABRP version: 7.1.5 (5971) Connection: Wireless CarPlay

Description: When ABRP is used through wireless Apple CarPlay, the turn-by-turn navigation instructions are not projected on the car's Head-Up Display (HUD) on the windshield. The route and guidance appear normally on the CarPlay screen, but the HUD shows no direction arrows or distance-to-turn information.

Expected behavior: Navigation instructions should be shown on the HUD, as happens with other CarPlay navigation apps.

What I have verified:

• Other navigation apps launched from CarPlay (e.g. Apple Maps, Google Maps) display their turn-by-turn instructions on the HUD correctly, so the vehicle supports HUD navigation data via CarPlay.

• The native ABRP app running directly on the car's own infotainment system displays the instructions on the HUD without any problem.

• The issue occurs only when ABRP is launched from CarPlay.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Connect iPhone 17 Pro Max (iOS 26.6.1) to the car via wireless CarPlay.

2. Start ABRP (v7.1.5) from CarPlay and begin navigation on any route.

3. Observe the HUD - no turn instructions are projected, while the CarPlay screen navigates normally.

This suggests ABRP may not be providing the CarPlay instrument cluster / HUD navigation metadata (maneuver and distance information) that other navigation apps send, which the vehicle uses to populate the HUD.
