The plan was great - 3 stops since I was able to charge at a hotel overnight to nearly full. The problem was along the way.
I’ll start with one thing the day before: I was routed to a Tesla Supercharger that was down. Maybe there’s already a bug/feature about this, but if that data is publicly available, it needs to be incorporated into the plan and updated while driving so you don’t get in a bind. Also having a popup for which specific chargers are broken would be nice. I ran into that a couple times as well.
I’m driving, and my passengers aren’t paying attention to where the next stop was originally vs where it is now routing us so I don’t know exactly what changed from the original plan, but the short story is, we ended up with 4 stops with no obvious explanation.
ABRP consistently underestimated arrival SOC when departing so I would arrive with several more percent charge than expected - so perhaps I could have gone further each time. I do not drive slow so that’s not the explanation and I had even more cargo than previous drives so I’d expect it the other way around maybe.
While charging, ABRP also seemed to refresh/reload and would dramatically change the needed SOC several times before departure - ranging from the original amount, to slightly below it, to something like 92%. I ended up just using the distance to the next planned charger and what my vehicle’s range said as the sure way to know when I was good to leave.
Nothing huge - got home safe and sound - I just wanted to provide that feedback.
