Supermarket Filter

Dear ABRP Team,

First of all, thank you for developing such a powerful and reliable route planner for electric vehicles. I use ABRP regularly and greatly value its flexibility and detailed planning options.

I would like to suggest a feature that could significantly enhance the user experience:

An optional filter to display only charging stations that are located at or near supermarkets.

Many EV drivers prefer to charge while doing their grocery shopping, and a dedicated filter would help identify convenient stops more efficiently. Ideally, the filter could recognize major supermarket chains like Lidl, Aldi, Rewe, Edeka, Kaufland, or Netto – either through location metadata, charging station names, or user-contributed tags.

While some of this information can be found manually, a built-in filter or POI layer would make the process much faster and user-friendly.

    I just returned from a 3-week roadtrip with an electric campervan. Not being able to easily find a charging location near a supermarket was my number 1 annoyance. It’s such a hassle: using Google Maps to find a supermarket, then trying to find that location in ABRP, only to find out that the charger is from a network where I don’t get a good price, and then starting over again. If only I could add a filter to only show charging stations near supermarkets! Filtering on the brand of supermarket would be a nice addition indeed, but not essential to me.

    this is such an important feature missing in abrp!

    when on holiday I always try to combine the shopping with charging, as they are a perfect combination…

    currently such a hassle, I end up going to Google maps and do it there.

    Dear ABRP Team,

    by the way, all without having an abo card with monthly fee can charge by a very fair price there with registration or even with ad hoc! This is very important to people not driving to much.
    For me it would be fine e.g. for ALDI süd, V-Markt (Virta).
    Lidl and Kaufland are already included in ABRP :-)!
