Status Charging Station wen start from Android Auto
Status of Changing station ist only displayed If the travel is started on phone and then connected to the car.
It would be helpful If I could start also after Connection with the car.
…I m charging near Work and its useful to see whether the Station is still free.

Hey, can you please explain more the behaviour you want to see from Android Auto? Do you expect the charger details to show up on AA, when you last selected a charger in the app?

I would like to See the Charger Status also If I start the Navigation in AA. Currently I only See the Status If I start the Navigation on the mobile and then Connect to AA.

Hey,
if the next waypoint is a charger, the charger status overlay should always be visible, no matter where you started navigation from. If it doesn’t it is not the intended behaviour.
Could you please let us know, which version you are on? So we can check if we can reproduce.

Hi,
we just tried it ourself and it works properly as described. There is only one situation, where it might not show the overlay immediately. When you are in a garage for example or somewhere with poor GPS, it could happen, that we do not match the plan properly until you start driving and GPS gets better.
Normally the phone app and AndroidAuto should behave the same, but as the implementations are slightly different, it could happen in rare cases, that the behaviour is also slightly different.
So could you please check, if the charger overlay comes up when you start driving? If that is the case we can probably improve on that and try to find out, why it is not shown immediately on AA. If however the overlay also does not appear while driving, it might be a different issue. We can however so far not reproduce it.

I now checked again:
Result is the Same: If I Start on Mobile-Phone the Charger Status is shown. If I start the Same Favorite from AA it s not shown. This does not changed until arrival

did you add a charger as favorite and it happens when you select it from favorits? That might be a special case that we didn’t consider yet. It should work for any route, that includes a charger. Please try that too.

I just tried it on web, and there we also do not show the status, when navigating to a stored charger. So I think what you saw was rather a coincidence, that it actually showed the charger status, as we normally consider these stored destinations as an arrival destination only. We will however look into improving this, so we always show the charger status on all platforms, when navigating to a charger.

Correct, but If I Start the Navigation on the Mobile Phone, then Connect to AA,
then the Status is visible. It would be good if It works w/o that workaround.
