Soc errors
You are referring to useless help. Please update ABRP so it can read correctly from the OBD dongle! Change it to the previous issue that worked ok. Now ABRP is useless showing soc of 3%. When I route plan it will always route me to a charger despite the fact that the real soc is 100%. Now I am paying for a useless program and support. I have reported this several times, but nothing happens, just receiving reference to useless articles and posts. Fix it or I will claim my money back. Regards Frode

Apologies for the issues - we recently changed some details on the KGM Torres OBD commands to improve for some users; did this break things for you the last couple of weeks?

If the previous version of the OBD commands work for you, then probably these are specific to your model year and we need to separate them. What model year do you have?

Yes, as I said, the previous issue of PID worked perfectly. It’s a KGM Musso ev 2026, similar to Torres.

Hey, we just reverted the Torres SoC OBD commands, so that should work again.

Hi, soc is correct now, but the reference value for the car will not calculate correctly. Abrp calculated the value to 503 kWh/100km and the car says 230. I am not able adjust it manually. The formula must be incorrect This should also be corrected to the previous formula which seemed to be more correct.

Hey, please check the current and voltage readings and check if they make sense. For example when you plug in to your charger and charge at 11kW, the app should say the same. like that you can verify whats wrong.

Also please don’t use other car models with live data, as that will mess up the consumption profiles for the other cars. In the new beta we have a feature where you can model a car yourself based on some other car, if yours does not exist this is probably the best way to go forward. It will also select the same OBD profile if you base it on an existing car. And we also have acustom OBD pid editor, that you can use to test and improve on the OBD euqations. We mainly get them from users as we can’t do the reverse engineering ourself without the cars.

Ok, how is reference consumption calculated and where due I find the formula in PID? I think the calculation can be divided by more than 2.

The reference consumption is calculated based on current and voltage, so please check that those work properly. Also its not the same as the avg consumption in the car but rather what the car would consume if you would drive 110km/h continuously. Its calculated in the backend as we need to normalize all your tlm data to get rid of weather and other effects like climbs/descendents.

I don’t know much about current and voltage, but it seems to be a mismatch between ABRP and Carscanner. See attached pictures. And I think that a degradation of battery at 9% from ABRP must be wrong for a 4 month old car.

Hey, we do not make these OBD files completely on our own. We need help for these, as we do not own all the cars and will never be able to reverse engineer for all of them. So feel free to play around with the custom OBD editor and if you got something working let us know and we can update.

Hi, is it possible to have a copy of the OBD PID that was used before it was updated on the 3rd of July? Before this date it worked ok. Then I can update the existing one manually.
