SoC and Estimated SoC on Arrival with TRONITY acts up if ABRP is forced to recalculate route

When setting up ABRP to set up a route home I very often disagree with the planned route because it often makes no sense. But if I refuse to make a turn to follow the directions because the route is stupid. Then SoC goes back to latest reported status and estimated SoC completely goes array. The navigation recalculates but not SoC and estm. SoC completely fails.
