So buggy

Apple CarPlay is so messy. Has issues going back to previous screen; I have to close the app out on my phone to get the CarPlay app to work again. There are issues with chargers not being added to the map.

The charger at 404 E Willow St, Scottsboro, AL 35768 for example is one. These level 3 chargers that I have went to have been there since October 5, 2023 but still aren’t listed.

Why can we not add chargers?

Why can’t ABRP just use PlugShare data as a 3rd party plugin?

Their app is actually accurate, up to date, and far more reliable, by a mile. I have to use that app to actually get a better route planned out. The irony of that. Then there’s the route planning in the ABRP app. I have to fight with the planning aspect of the app because it just doesn’t want to follow the settings and filters I applied.

Also, I can’t save the voice that gives the directions. I select a different voice and I always have to go back every new trip I take just to change the voice. I try to use the man’s voice. The map doesn’t show the direction that the car is heading/facing/pointing or whatever it is. So, whenever it says to turn onto such and such street the arrow is facing the other direction than what my car is facing and I can’t determine quickly enough which way I am supposed to go. Every other map app has that. I wind up having to drive around to make a U-turn because the app doesn’t update correctly. It doesn’t show traffic accurately, if at all.

I got stuck in Atlanta traffic on a nine hour trip. I had instances where the gps uses the wrong exit names; the exit that was listed on the screen was called something completely different by gps’ navigation voice. This happens multiple of times. To use CarPlay you have to pay $5 a month. I am paying for a broken product. Everything else in the app is free, except weather, traffic, and elevation.

I have trouble moving and zooming in on the map on my phone and CarPlay. I zoom in or move the cursor to a specific spot and I am randomly, and consistently, taken back to my current location. There are so many more issues but I can’t remember all of them.
