Show distance to destination instead of charger in Android Auto

Right now we only show the distance to the next charger. But it might make more sense to show the total distance and time of the route, and add distance to charger somewhere else.

Why not show both? Distance / time to charger AND to destination

You can only show one value in the ETA widget (it’s a predefined google component). Closing this as it is really old. There is an option to toggle between destination and next charger, so everyone can chose their preferred variant.

Cant you than just show a combined value? 100/2843 KM for example. Its really annoying to must show your distance to the next charger (to know for sure you can make it), but then be unable to see when you actually arrive at your destination.

No that won’t work, as it is a fixed component from google, where we can only pass a name and a distance value. But we’ll check what other things we could do related to that. As you need to drive to a charger first anyways, you could check at the charger, how much is left in total.

My alternative is now a seperate concurrent apple or google apps running navigation. All to deal with the kids in the back screaming when we will finally arrive ;-). Thanks for your efforts Samuel, appreciate it.
