Select Tesla charger version

Would like the ability to include only Tesla v4, not v3, chargers on my routes. The v3 cords are too short to easily reach

Our Equinox EV is primarily used for commuting, and we almost always charge from home. However, when road-tripping and using our Tesla membership (to get the best rates), ABRP Route Planning is a headache as I need to correlate with the Tesla v4 map on supercharge.info. If I was able to select either 1) Just Tesla v4 chargers, or 2) a minimum charging speed of, say, 300kWh with the current Tesla network filter, ABRP could much easier plan my route without me having to manually select just the chargers that I can actually use.

I cannot actually use 300kWh in the Equinox, it is rated at 150 under the best conditions, but the v4 chargers have the longer cord that I need to use so I do not block multiple spots when charging.

It would probably be easier to implement a minimum charging speed to filter with than create a whole new Tesla v4 network.

    Thanks

    Tesla Charge Types

Can you provide a field that allows for labelling the type of charger so we “other” cars know that there a long cables.

    Distinguish Tesla v4

My car has the charger port on the wrong side on Tesla stations and could result in using two slots. However, Tesla v4 have longer cables and are thus more suitable for my car. Can we get a filter for including only the V4 stations?

Expecting to use Tesla SC in a non-Tesla car can be challenging, since it’s not possible to charge your car in most v2 and v3 locations when they are busy (with my Audi e-tron it’s a disaster). So an option to only use v4 TSC in your route planning would be very helpful! 😊

      Bump.

E-GMP cars from Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are, as far as I can tell, limited to about 97kw due to having to use the rear motor to step up the voltage for their 800v packs. There may be other vehicles that use a similar approach and are similarly limited by V3 chargers.

The V4 supports well over 800v and would probably be a PREFERRED network for these drivers.

I think the easiest way to do this would be to have the existing Tesla network plus “Tesla V4 Only” as a separate network to chose from under “Chargers & Networks”.
