Select nearby chargers on map for Android Auto

When I'm driving a longer route, sometimes I want to see the status of a nearby charger, by hoovering over the route. Chargers along the route cannot be selected on the map, currently I need to cancel the route and than select the nearby chargers from a list, which is quite annoying.

Would be fantastic if I could just select chargers on the map and see their status.
