Routing to Charger Doesn't Update

After failing to find a way to reset the destination SoC ( Can't set destination SoC when planning in car with CarPlay? ) I decided to just drive home and see what happened. What I expected was that ABRP would update with chargers near me (especially since the current SoC was 35% and the destination target was 50% — which I would hope it would start to see a potentially critical problem), but it did not. It continued to direct me to the original charger that it had selected even as I approached other chargers that were closer than the original one.

I also have the “Charger at this location” switch set on for my home. It seems that at some point ABRP should have recognized this as the best possible option.

Where does this happen?

    Hi @Doug Urner,

    In this situation, we should’ve notified you that the current plan/route is no longer viable, and let you choose to replan to get a different charger alternative.

    Did this not happen?

    We never automatically change the plan with other chargers without the user’s explicit permission, such as agreeing to make a replan.

    Tagging your favorite destinations with charging capabilities allows us to plan to charge there when they’re included in plans. However, we currently do not treat them like regular chargers, and we will not automatically include them in plans.
