Routing problem, strange detour

The screenshot shows the situation 3 AM in the morning with no traffic, but is reproducible any time: when routing between the given start and destination, a strange detour happens. Naturally the Georg Wilhelm Strasse should be followed to the north, then a right turn to Mengestrasse. Instead it always plans a detour to a smaller street to the left and returns and enters the crossing from west.

This is neither shorter, nor faster at any given time.
