Route takes very long to get recalculated when taking a wrong turn

Since 6.1.0 the route takes very long to get recalculated when taking a wrong turn. Today I drove on a road a missed a turn. A new route would only be recalculated once I was more than 1km away from the initial missed turned. Later that day I drove in a small town with lots of small streets. I took a wrong turn and the route would not recalculate unless I drove far enough from the missed turn.
This make the app useless when driving in small towns.
