Rivian results inconsistent between Gen1 & Gen2

I currently have 2022 R1S Quad Large 22" Sport (Gen1). I am maybe thinking of getting 2025 R1S Tri Max 22" Sport, (Gen2) so I added it as a Vehicle in ABRP, and then run both on the same route to see how the longer range and better efficiency of Gen2 fares.
Reference route: San Rafael CA to RAN Buttonwillow CA. Gen1 will need charge. Gen2 should be able to do it without charging. But ABRP shows both needing one charge, almost the same charge time.
The Gen2 does show lower Reference Consumption in the app. I do a Restart and then change vehicles. But Gen2, which is more efficient, shows as needing slightly more total energy to make the trip.
