A too low temperature of the battery limits the fast-charging power achievable (cold gating). To counter this, modern EVs have the capability to automatically pre-heat the battery ahead of a planned fast-charging stop. This requires the use of the built-in navigation software and doesn't work automatically when navigating with ABRP. However, on some EVs (e.g. Nissan Ariya) it is possible to manually activate the battery heater. It would be great if ABRP could be configured to automatically display a reminder to turn on the heater. This reminder could be fully automated by ABRP on car models that support manual heater activation, either based on the real-time battery temperature read from OBD or just based on the outside air temperature. Of course, there should also be a manual configuration option so that ABRP users could override the default settings.

Reminder to turn on battery heater
It would be great, to be reminded about turning on the battery heater, in due time before arriving at a charge stop in vehicles (could be a user setting in 15 minute intervals or similar)

A reminder to activate the battery heating 30 minutes before arriving at a charging spot or better with a selectable time range

This would be a great feature. The MVP could be quite simple, the suggestion by @Markus above would be sufficient, or even better, check to see if live OBD data is available and if it includes the battery temperature. Then generate an alert only if the battery needs conditioning.
I don’t know how variable battery conditioning parameters are, but if there is much variation maybe allow users to set both the temperature & the lead time.
For cars where there is no way to manually initiate preconditioning, it would be very, very nice to have a link to vehicle specific notes — I would think that in most cases the note would just tell you how to initiate navigation using the built-in software. This is another reason why it would be very useful to have the names used for charging stations in ABRP closely match those used in the the charging network app (which I assume the built-in s/w would also be likely to match).

IMHO it would be a good start to just have an option to create an alarm that just displays a reminder message XY minutes before every charging stop. Let the user decide if it is really necessary to pre-heat but remind them to think about it. I always forget this and then I am stuck at charging way longer than anticipated…that ruins every trip.
