Problems with routing / navigation

iPhone X iOS running 16.7.11

Not sure how wide an issue this is or if it’s just with Apple CarPlay?

• ABRP gets lost in areas with poor or no mobile connection but keeps giving directions. Oddly, if I open the app on my phone, my actual location shows as correct and that I’m miles away from the planned route.

• ABRP puts a high priority on absolutely the shortest/fastest route. If it saves 10 seconds or 100 metres, ABRP will take me down a narrow, winding, potholed single lane “road” sometime with grass growing up the middle.

Neither Google Maps nor Apple Maps has either of these issues, provided I have planned the route before losing mobile signal.

I did sign up for a subscription but then discovered these problems and cancelled it.

Get these issues sorted and I’ll sign up again.
