Problem abrp
Hey i have a premium membership and been using app 9 months now. I have version 6.1.1 and are connected via OBD and android auto to My Ford explorer ev rwd extended drive 2024 model. The last days charger icons on screen stoped working, i see icons but nothing happens when i press icon to get info. I was on 2 weeks holiday start off this month and the everything worked, and connection via my phone (Google pixel 7) is ok. When pressing icons directly on phone they work but on car screen they dont work, All other things in app works both on phone and car screen. Hope you can help me as this function is critical for use.

Thank you for reporting, and sorry about the long wait. We are a little unsure of exactly which buttons don’t work for you - could you attach a photo here and point out what does not work? Assuming it is the Android Auto UI on the car screen which is not responsive?

It is all chargers shown on map, nothing happens when pressing on icons. If i install version 6.0.2 everything works. Only New version 6.1.1 has this problem

Have installed version 6.1.3 and the problem is still the same. When going back to 6.0 it works. Problem are the same on both android and iphone. It works on phone but not When connected to car via android auto or carplay.

Hey, just to clarify, CarPlay does not have any touch support. This is nothing we decided to restrict, but a general restriction from the CarPlay SDK. Moving the map works, but touch does not.

Hello Claus - downgrading the app would usually mean that Android Auto not work at all. Are you part of the Android ABRP open beta program (now on version 6.1.4)? If so, could you try to verify if you have the problem there?

My normal phone are Google pixel 7 with newest updates. How do i become beta tester to get 6.1.4, Hope the problem gets fixed, i am a premium member but app is not worth premium if it dont get fixed. I have downloaded an old 6.0 apk i works fine on android auto

In the Google Play Store, search for ABRP and on the app page further down there is an offer to join the beta program.

It works for us on the devices we can test with but we are aware of some issues determining where you tap on some screen sizes or devices.
Curiously, this is an Android Auto bug which gets fixed when you get an updated Android Auto from Google (which seems to happen on random devices).

Dont think it is android auto that is the problem. I have the same android auto version and abrp 6.0 works and 6.1.2, 6.1.3, 6.1.4 dosent work. Have tryed different android auto versions, and that dosent make any difference wich android auto version is on phone. Have tryed both on Google pixel 7 and samsung s 21

Just to verify our suspicion that it is a misalignment of tap position - can you try tapping on other places on the screen to see if you can trigger the charger details view?

I cant trig anything to work, but on buttom of screen when i press black charger icon i get meny of chargers nearbuy as always. My car is Ford Explorer EV long range from 2024 with 14,4” screen

Any progress with this problem. It is a big problem and i have premium, it is not worth premium if problem dont get solved, but need premium to check if solved. Still back to using version 6.0 any later versions dont work. I am also beta tester.

Hello Claus - unfortunately no progress yet. Tapping works find on our devices and vehicles with Android Auto, so there is something device dependent here. We have not forgotten it though.

My car is an Ford Explorer 2024 EV, and it is a 15” screen maybe problem is big screen. I have info from other users with same screen, they also have same problem om (vw-audi-skoda-cubra-ford All the New models with 15”screen). If you look at settings in version 6.0 maybe you find difference as this and earlyer versions works fine.

Still not working in 6.1.5. In forums it is a common problem for users with 14,6” and 15” screens ( all Ford 2024 and 2025) and others with big screen.

A little update in 6.1.5, if pressing above to the left og icon i manege to get info on screen (see video) . Not always but think there is a problem with 14,6” and 15” screen.

Thank you for the update, we suspected it was a scaling issue of the tap event coordinates. We have now been able to reproduce thet issue and fix it - a new open beta release will be released with it today.
