Premature charging completion with OBDBLE

Several times this trip, the app will declare charging is complete when the goal hasn’t been reached. My sense is that it happens when I leave the vicinity of the car and then return, and the BLE connection to the OBD reader has dropped and then been restored. However I’m not certain that is necessary to trigger it. Quitting the app and restarting doesn’t help reset it; you have to leave driving mode and replan.
