Position freeze (Android Auto)

Bug Reports

From time to time my position on the Android Auto screen freezes.

Then I have to pick up my phone and open ABRP app. As soon as I do that the position start update again.

Where does this happen?
ABRP version number (found at bottom of settings menu)

    Thanks for reporting! We think that it could be related to your Android trying to save power, disabling ABRP after a while. Could you try and find the setting in Android to disable power saving for ABRP (in Android settings)?

    Hi, yes it does. I experimented a bit more and it seems that if it wasn’t running before and I start it from Android Auto, ABRP captures my initial location but doesn’t get any location updates or stops getting updates after I wait at a traffic light for a minute or so. If I then start the app itself on my phone (at this point I seem to be able to lock the phone screen as well with no adverse effects), it seems to receive the location updates no problem and continues to follow them. I assume this is either an issue with how ABRP listens to the location update events when starting from Android Auto, or a bug in Android Auto when delivering updates to apps started via Android Auto.
