Prefer Chargers With Live Status

Feature Requests

An option that would cause the charger selection algorithm to select chargers that are providing real-time availability data would have two benefits:

  1. It would give drivers a better idea of “the facts on the ground” as they approached a charger, and

  2. It might be an incentive to the operators of charging networks to work with ABRP to provide accurate real-time data.

    We do this by default, no need for a switch. (So there’s absolutely an existing incentive for operators to integrate).

      If someone with the list had the energy to do it, it might be helpful to have a list of charging networks with their live data status attached. Something like:

      Electrify America: has API, opted out of integration.

      Tesla: has API, integration pending

      EVgo: has API, partial integration

      Maybe even include a contact at each network so that we could lobby them.
