Odd routing in rural areas

I’ve come across an issue where the app sends me on large, unneeded loops rather than just routing me back the way I came from. Example:

Twin Falls, ID to Stanely ID, to Boise ID. Instead of routing me back through Hailey ID to charge it’s trying to send me to Arco ID OR on a route I’m unlikely to make it on through McCall ID. Nothing I do can get it to just turn me around the way I came to the closer charging stop.
