Therr are 2 cases I find inconvenient.
While being routed, we can not easily find an available charger and edit the route (either new destination or add stop) from CarPlay. At least, in iPhone you can click on a charging station and update the route plan. We can do that in CarPlay. So it is very painful to use the application while searching for a station (while speaking of UX searching a station, drag and drop to move across the map is easier than a menu with h arrows). We can not even access the option โsearch for nearby stationsโ on our route like all the others routings apps
When not routed, searching for nearby stations acts weird : list is not ordered by close they are from our current location, which is what nearby should be. More than that it will propose location from the phone apps where the user move the map to on the phone instead of current location displayed on car play.
The feeling is very inconsistent using the app finding a charging station.
There is multiple ideas to solve that idea.
Having a nearby stations always available, with an option menu where :
current location (default)
On the road
Near destination
We could have a status about availability (green red) and a quick filter for fast charger only.
I think only that will do the trick and keep abrp on par with the other apps/manufacturer navigation systems.
