Enhanced Navigation Voice setting isn't saved
Hi, I downloaded a premium voiceover voice through iOS Settings, which is visible in the app. I then went to Navigation, selected and saved the setting. However, the following day, the setting is back to the default voice from IOS. Could you have a look at it please?

Hi,
in our TTS library there was a bug, that premium voices were not recognized as premium voices. I opened a PR at the library repository:
https://github.com/ak1394/react-native-tts/pull/277
The resulting behavior was that premium voices were identified with the same quality as low quality voices, so when re-initializing TTS it would try to select a higher quality voice, which was actually of less quality.
We also patched our local version and the latest version should contain the fix.
Could you please report back here if that fixes the issue for you? Please also include which version you did check on, so we can make sure if it contains the fix.

Thank you for feedback. Could you try to uninstall the app and install it again? It seems like something in the saved data has become corrupt.

I have already done without getting really better. The only one effect is, that now SOC is not jumping always to 75%. The app is still loosing connection to ODB device as soon as I open any other app in foreground

I have the same problem: British English, voice set to Jamie (Premium) but after a day or so it’s been set back to Daniel. This is on my iPhone.
I’ve been doing some investigating, and one thing that might be significant is I also have ABRP installed on my iPad. I checked, and Jamie (Premium) wasn’t installed on the iPad, and so the voice was set to Daniel on ABRP on the iPad. I wonder if the iPad settings were being applied to my account and then copied to the iPhone? I’ve tried downloading Jamie (Premium) on the iPad, and set ABRP to use that on the iPad too. I’ll see if the setting now “sticks”.

Unfortunately the setting didn’t stick. Both iPad and iPhone were set to “Jamie (premium)” but today the iPhone had changed to “Daniel (Enhanced)”. Previously it changed to “Daniel” (but it’s possible I hadn’t got “Daniel (Enhanced)” downloaded until I did my experiments).
I hope you can find what’s causing this - it’s quite annoying!

Similar for me - defaults back to Daniel(Enhanced) won’t stick with e.g. Martha or Kate(enhanced) which I downloaded to IoS.

setting that to the preferred voice appears to help.

Hi,
can you please provide more details on this issue so we can try to reproduce? We need the following information:
- Which preferred language is set on the phone?
- Which enhanced voice did you select?
- Which language is set in the ABRP app?
Could you please also add a screenshot of the ABRP TTS voice settings, so we can compare it to the list we see when we try to reproduce?

Usually, the setting reverts back to Daniel the following morning. It is an odd behaviour.

Hey, thanks for the details. English has a few different country specific languages, could you please also let me know which country specific english is set in ios and in the app? Is that both British English as well?
