Navigation instructions not visible on dash-screen via CarPlay

Hi, I successfully loaded the app in CarPlay and I can use the routing using the dash-screen of the car. However, the navigation instructions are not displayed and/or are not taken over by my car system (it works in the Apple Maps app). I can only see the navigation instructions on the (big) CarPlay screen
Where does this happen?
ABRP version number (found at bottom of settings menu)

      Sorry. I forgot to mention. I have a BMW i4 (2021-2024) eDrive40.

        We’ve seen some similar behavior when using other navigation apps via CarPlay - have you checked if perhaps the instructions come available if no other navigation apps have been in use via CarPlay?
