Navigation in landscape mode not displaying my position on screen but off screen

iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 16.3: when starting the navigation in landscape mode, my current position is always shown off screen. When in portrait mode, it is displayed correctly in the middle of the visible map. I have attached screenshots of this.
When clicking on the eye icon, in portrait mode it shows my the view mode options. In landscape mode the view mode options window is displayed off screen at the top (you can see a few pixels of the window edge). I have also attached screenshots for this.
It seems like landscape mode thinks my screen is bigger than it actually is.
I cannot use navigation in landscape mode this way at all.
Please fix this, thank you!
