I am a premium user - paying for ABRP - and am very satisfied with ABRP as a route planner / charging planner, but the navigation is not always reliable, sometimes you are sent on major detours in relation to the destination, ABRP does not navigate around roadblocks, I have experienced that a motorway exit was blocked, here ABRP thought that the entire motorway was blocked, and therefore led us on a major detour, completely for no reason.

On a trip from Munich to Denmark, the first charging stop was at Tesla Gramschatzer Wald, Würzburg. After approx. 1 hour drive on the motorway, ABRP changed the navigation so that we had to leave the motorway to drive on a regular country road, SoC changed from 13% to 9% upon arrival at the charging station, for us it made no sense and we therefore stayed on the motorway, we arrived at the Tesla charging station without obstacles on the motorway with a SoC of 17% - why does ABRP make such a change / detour in the route plan without any reason? it is very unsafe - I could really wish that the navigation in ABRP was better and more reliable, I pay for it to be reliable and safe to drive with!!

I have a feeling that the navigation in ABRP has become somewhat / significantly worse since the update to ABRP 7.1.7, does anyone have the same experience?

Does anyone have experience with sharing maps/navigation/charging planning from ABRP to Google Maps, and how does it work in practice?

If the route is changed by Google Maps, for example, will the charging schedule also be changed?

    Could you share a plan with us where this detour was shown so we can see it ourselves? Did it happen to change by itself automatically while you were driving?

    As for Google Maps, charging schedule should not change after you have selected to share the plan with Google Maps.

      Our return trip from Munich to Denmark was planned in ABRP and the route & charging planning showed that we should drive on the A8 from Lochhausen northwest of Munich and then at exit 65-Kreuz Ulm/Elchingen follow the signs for the A7 towards Würzburg/Heilbronn until we reached exit 100 Gramschatzer Wald on the A7, which we should take to get to the Tesla Supercharger, 97262 Hausen bei Würzburg, Germany - after approx. 30-50 minutes drive from Lochhausen, Munich, ABRP suggested a new route that was 5 minutes faster, which we accepted, this happens sometimes, the reason is often that ABRP has found a more optimal charging point, which is better in the overall charging planning, but this time ABRP changed the route so that we had to turn off the A8 motorway at (as we remember) exit 67 Günzburg to continue on country road route 16.

      For us, it made no sense to have to leave the motorway to drive on country road, as it often takes a bit longer. At the same time, ABRP changed SoC from 13% to 9%, arrival time was unchanged, and since no traffic problems were indicated, we decided to continue on the A8 - after passing the exit (67 Günzburg) ABRP itself changed the route, so that we now had to follow the A8 to the A7 and take exit 100 on the A7 to Gramschatzer Wald - we were back on the original ABRP planned route, at the same time the SoC was changed back to the 13%.

      We arrive at the Tesla Supercharger with a SoC of 17% instead of 13% - and a SoC of 9% if we had chosen to follow ABRP's suggestion to turn off the A8 motorway as ABRP had calculated for the proposed route on the country road.

      Unfortunately, we have not taken any pictures of ABRP navigation from the screen in the car, so the above is the best description.

      The next navigation event / change of route in ABRP happened when we came to Denmark on the E45. Here, ABRP changed the route by itself so that we had to leave the E45 motorway at exit 51 Skanderborg N and then follow route 511 towards Harlev J and Hadsten to get to our destination Skødstrup, North of Aarhus - ABRP gave no reason, so we decided again to stay on the E45, as no traffic problems were indicated - when after approx. 5 km to where the E45 splits to the north, Aalborg, and to the west to Aarhus south, it is the exit to Aarhus south that is closed due to roadworks, the E45 is therefore not closed and there was no reason for ABRP to change the route, just after we had passed the exit to Aarhus south, ABRP changed back to the original planned route via E45.

      We have also experienced a few times on our trip that a road was closed - Here ABRP announces just before the road closure comes, "be careful road closed" but there is no alternative route to avoid the road closure - the result is that we have to find a solution / new route ourselves - it is not good enough in our opinion and especially not when you are in an unknown country.

      You should also be recognized for some good changes in ABRP update 7.1.7 - the connection / continuous updates of Soc and Soc upon arrival in/with Enode (in the upper right corner of the screen) has become significantly better - that is super good, thank you.

      As I have previously written, it is our opinion that the ABRP navigation has changed since the update to ABRP 7.1.7 - we have been to Munich 4 times in the past year and a half and we have never experienced ABRP navigating in this "unsafe / confusing" way.

      We have always been incredibly happy to drive with ABRP, and would highly recommend it to others, we hope that we can continue to be happy with ABRP - but something has happened in your update to ABRP 7.1.7
