Nav Voice Reverts Back After Selection
I can choose the nav voice in settings. It'll will stick for one drive then subsequent drives it reverts back to “en-US-language”. No option to make it my default nav voice.

Thanks for reporting! What phone model an Android version are you on?
Does all other app functionality work properly, e.g. you can change other settings and they stick?

Pixel 9 Pro XL, Android 16 with the August security update and July Google Play update
Yes all my settings do remain the same otherwise.
Went to check this morning and it had reverted back to the original voice again.

Hey,
just tried to reproduce, but it seems to work for me. Do you have any hints, when this changes? Does it require the app to be closed and started again, or does it also change during app use (for example when you stop navigation)? Do you have an easy way, to reproduce the issue maybe?

This is still happening for me. It's annoying, I usually just stop my route, change the voice in settings and then start driving again.

There probably will be a fix with 6.2.0 or higher. We could not reproduce it, but cleaned up TTS setup a bit and removed unnecessary resetting of voices in error cases, which might have caused resetting to default voice. Once there is a new version with 6.2.0 or higher, please give it a try again and let us know.

Voice synthesis not remembered
ABRP always resets the german voice from de-de-x-deb-local back to de-DE-language, which is the worst voice I’ve ever heard.

Unfortunately, this doesn't help.
I installed the App on another phone (Oneplus 13) and this also falls back to the language default after some time.

does this still happen on recent versions? If so could you please add more details? Everything could help here, as we are not able to reproduce this. Do you for example have to login again before this happens? Or does it also switch voice during navigation? Or does it only happen, when the app was in background / not active / restarted? If you can find a way to reproduce it, please let us know.

This only happens after closing the app (during charging or after reaching the destination). It doesn't happen when navigating. I also must not log in again.
On my wife's Pixel 7 this problem does occur not as often as on my Xiaomi 14 or OnePlus 13, where it's resetting every time.

Hey, we couldn’t reproduce it on any of the phones we have, but I made some changes in the TTS initialization sequence, so let’s hope that fixes the issues. It will be available in the next release (> 6.1.6), so please let me know, if that solves the issue for you.

Thanks for reporting! Unfortunately, we cannot use the “premium” voices in iOS, so if you select such a voice in iOS settings we will fall back to the basic voice.
The voices you select from in the ABRP navigation settings should all work.
Did you select it in ABRP?
