NAV Voice Garbled

During navigation, longer voice guidance is garbled. It sounds like the first part of the instruction doesn’t finish before the next part of the instruction starts to speak. This is a problem on both wired and wireless Android Auto. Short instructions like “Turn Left” are spoken properly. Instructions like “In a half mile, turn left onto route 5” are unintelligible.

    I see that there is another problem from UPVOTY. I did try it without Android Auto and there was no voice directions (again with the default). I’ll read that post before I test again.

      Tried voice en-us-x-iol-local with the same result.

      Turned off the street name option and it was better but still somewhat garbled.

      This isn’t very usable as it stands. I’ve cancelled my subscription. Any chance of getting my $4.99 refunded?

        If you started the subscription on the web or in Google play it’s possible. Contact us through the app in the settings → Support & feedback → Subscription issues.

            I haven't seen any other users write to us about this. I don’t know which post at Upvoty that you refer to. We have not used Upvoty in a long time.

            If only one user has a problem, it is difficult for us to spend time recreating the problem.

              That makes sense. Lots of odd things with the Pixel phones. I had assumed Google would do a great phone since they do Android. The phone is meh. The Upvoty migrated post related to no voice guidance when using ABRP Android on the phone (not A Auto) which I also have as a problem. Your system flagged that issue as a “similar post”.
