When does this happen and what should be the correct navigation?

Hello,
The navigation is fine.
Location: on the M55 eastbound and I need to take the M6 North.
The voice says “the N O R T H” (separating the letters) instead of “the North” probably because on the road signs, NORTH, SOUTH and similar are often spelled in upper case letters.
