Most expensive charger far from route

I was traveling from Maryland to Parsippany, NJ. ABRP took me to the most expensive station in Warminster,PA, far off the actual route. I wound up spending $17 for 64 miles!! That's more than $1 per kwh. If I wasn't down so low (and brought lower because it was >5 miles of the route to get there),I would have tried to find another station. Do stations pay to be used preferentially by ABRP? After this trip, it certainly feels that way.
