What I really miss from the route planning software is that when we plan a route and it lists the charging stations along the way, it does not show which app is required for each charging station.
This is especially important when travelling outside the EU, because quite often there is no internet connection at the charging station, or the connection is very weak. In these situations, it can be difficult to download the required app from the App Store, register an account, and then start the charging session.
If this feature were included in the route planner, users could see in advance which charging provider apps they will need for the entire journey. This would allow them to download the necessary apps and complete the registration beforehand, while they still have a good internet or Wi-Fi connection.
This would make travelling with an EV much easier, especially in countries where mobile internet coverage is limited, because drivers would not have to deal with downloading apps and registering accounts when they are already standing at the charging station.
